What appears on Louisiana911
The readable City-Parish incident list supplies the reported time, incident type, agency label, street or address, and cross street. The companion EBRGIS traffic layer can supply an official approximate map point for the same incident.
- Traffic crashes, hit-and-runs, disabled vehicles, road blockages, and other traffic incidents when published upstream.
- Agency labels such as LAW or OSS exactly as the public feed supplies them.
- Current incidents only; disappearance from the live source does not prove a particular outcome.
How map locations are chosen
Louisiana911 first uses the City-Parish map layer's published point. Every point in that layer is treated as approximate. If a newly listed incident has not reached the map layer yet, the site may use a validated address-range or cross-street corridor result. An unverified guess is left unmapped.
Why an incident can say “Map unavailable”
The incident list and map layer do not always update at the same moment. A normal street label is not automatically accepted as a precise point: Louisiana911 checks provider metadata and local East Baton Rouge bounds before showing a fallback marker.
